How to support an alcohol-free pregnancy
There are many ways that we can all support an alcohol-free pregnancy. Here are some practical ideas you can try out to support your partner, spouse, family member or friend before, during and after their pregnancy.
Consider having non-alcoholic mocktails: How about not drinking when you’re with someone who is pregnant or maybe even not drinking at all? If you drink, it can be more difficult for others to stop.
Meet somewhere new: When making plans to get together, try meeting at new places that don’t have alcohol on the menu instead of your usual spot. Maybe a bakery or a farmer’s market?
Support lifestyle changes: Before, during and after pregnancy, you can offer encouragement when your partner makes lifestyle changes such as not drinking.
